Yoga May Enhance Sexual Function In Women
12 July, 2010
A new study has researched the effect of daily yoga on women’s sexual function. The study asked women to do a variety of yoga postures daily followed by breathing and relaxation work. The 12 week programme found a significant improvement in sexual arousal, lubrication and minimising pain and overall satisfaction in sex life.
Women over 35 have been found to have reduced blood flow to the uterus, which may be a factor in trying to conceive. I believe that yoga and pilates are ways in which women keen to conceive can enhance their blood flow to this area as well as improving their general flexibility, which moves the ‘qi’ or energy and blood, and offers benefits of relaxation.
