Shovelling Snow Without Injury
4 January, 2010
Every year when it snows I get cancellations from patients who are snowed in and then I get requests for acupuncture treatment from people who have injured themselves. Sometimes it’s when they’ve been sledging, often it’s when they have fallen or have pulled a muscle from shovelling snow.
This article by American colleague, Douglas R Briggs, has some sound advice about shovelling snow in a way to minimise physical harm. It may seem to be taking it all a bit too seriously but really I would advise you to follow these tips and save yourself a visit to me this January!
