Rocking Embryos Improves IVF Rates
27 January, 2010
A new study on mice reports that rocking embryos during IVF may improve IVF success rates. The researchers built a device that mimicked the gentle rocking movement that would occur within the fallopian tubes after natural conception. It appeared that this improved fertilisation rates by over 20%. It would seem that the more science can mimic the body’s natural mechanisms the better the rate of success.
