Obama believes acupuncture works
19 June, 2009
President Obama has stated that he believes that alternative therapies such as acupuncture which have been shown to work can be helpful for conditions such as migraine and pain.
When asked by an acupuncturist at a briefing on his views he responded by saying that “My attitude is that we should do what works. So I think it is pretty well documented through scientific studies that acupuncture, for example, can be very helpful in relieving certain things like migraines and other ailments — or are at least as effective as more intrusive interventions.”
It’s good to know that the President of the United States is supportive of acupuncture and open to what it may help treat.
