Acupuncture can aid birthing

A new study from New Zealand measuring outcomes of
midwives using acupuncture on pregnant women has
shown that those receiving acupuncture in the last
part of their pregnancy have:
- a 35% reduction in induction rates
- a 31% reduction in epidurals
- a 32% reduction in emergency caesarean sections; and
- 9% increase in normal vaginal birth compared to the general population
