Hypnotherapy helps with a wide range of problems - thoughts and behaviour patterns you'd like to let go of or some you would like to develop or emotional problems that can feel overwhelming. Some physical problems can also be treated effectively through hypnosis.

Many people who come for hypnotherapy do so because they wish to change in some way, or want to learn to relax or manage their health as they recognise that how they feel affects their health.

Hypnotherapy can be split into two basic categories: suggestion works on treating the symptoms and, used on its own, is likely to bring only short term relief. On the other hand there is a deeper form of hypnotherapy which will look for the root cause of a problem, and once you are aware of what is at the root of your experience it becomes possible to bring about lasting change.

In the very first session I will teach you self hypnosis, as the more you are involved in the process the better it will work for you.

One of the greatest benefits of hypnosis is that it puts you in charge of your health and gives you a tool that you can use at any time.

Since everyone is different, each person experiences hypnosis in their own particular way. People vary in their rate of progress. The important thing is that we work at a pace that suits you. Some people like to come weekly, others fortnightly and some come as and when they feel the need to.

Smoking cessation is the only treatment where one session is required.
