Happy Chinese New Year – Welcome The Year Of The Dragon
24 January, 2012
Happy Chinese New Year! The new lunar calendar began yesterday and what a year it could be! It’s the year of the Dragon.
Colleague, Nick Haines, describes more below about what it means for us all. And read more here about how many Chinese are desperate to conceive a child born in the year of the Dragon.
The Dragon is associated with spring and the Wood Energy, this means you need to get off to a fast start in 2012 as things are going to happen early in the year. Hopefully you will have done some planning in the quiet time of last year and are ready to blossom.
This speed is even more exaggerated this Dragon Year as it is a Yang Water Dragon. Yang Water is like a flowing river rather than a stagnant lake, so the start will be even faster and the flow that bit more rapid. A spot of advice: If you haven’t got a plan together, pause before you climb in to the fast moving flow and think about the plan. Wood Energy has an aspect about flexibility, so keep your plan flexible enough to cope with any changes, but firm enough to grow.
Wood Energy & Spring is about ideas and creation and Water Energy is about something that will last the test of time. So this year is about what you will create and what will be your legacy.
Generally Dragon years are about good fortune, so things look good. This is an even more special year because Water nourishes the Dragon’s fixed Wood Energy, giving this Dragon a big advantage over the rest of the Dragon Years when it comes to bringing good luck. This Dragon is actually going to realize some of those big dreams!
So get out your plan, tidy up your plan or get one together NOW and go for it! But remember to keep the balance right between being focused and flexible.
